John takes a Questionnaire!

Well, folks, you may bBolde glad to see there's competition in Ward 57--but you're probably also scratching your heads, asking yourselves, "Who is John Heisler?" More to the point, why should you vote for him? Well, Homemakers for America have been kind enough to send us a survey, and Mr. Heisler's answers to their questions follow.

1. I oppose taxpayer-funded health care that is mandated and run by the government.
2. I support repealing the 16th Amendment, ending the federal income tax.
3. I opposed passing the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) or the stimulus bill.
4. I oppose abortions funded by taxpayers.
5. I oppose partial birth abortions.
6. I support requiring parental consent for abortions performed on girls under the age of 18.
7. I oppose imposing government restrictions on an individual's right to keep and bear arms.
8. I support state marriage amendments that define marriage to be only between one man and one woman.
9. I oppose allowing or promoting gay straight alliance clubs or lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) programs in taxpayer-funded schools.
10. I oppose taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal aliens.
11. I oppose imposing federal government regulations and restrictions upon states and American citizens in an effort to protect the environment.
12. I support drilling for oil in American-controlled lands and waters.
13. I support enacting the Fair Tax (H.R. 25).
14. I oppose enacting a flat tax which taxes all Americans at the same flat rate regardless of income.
15. I support auditing the Federal Reserve Bank.
16. I support capitalism as the best overriding economic system for the United States.
17. I support child-centered funding (school choice) allowing taxpayer money allocated for education to follow the student in their choice of a public, private, or charter school.
18. I support teaching intelligent design in conjunction with evolution and other scientifically recognized theories in taxpayer funded schools.
19. I support requiring the study of both the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence in taxpayer-funded schools.
20. I oppose teaching sex education in schools in the primary grades (kindergarten through 6th grade).
21. I support enforcing federal immigration laws by sheriffs and other authorized law enforcement officers.
22. I support the following statement: the United States Constitution creates a federal government of clearly defined and limited powers.
23. I consider myself to be pro-life.
24. I have read the Constitution of the United States and pledge to uphold the rights and standards contained within it. Yes.
25. I consider the ultimate power in the United States to be: the People.

A pretty solid conservative outlook, it's plain to see.
